About ChoraleGUIDE

ChoraleGUIDE.com is a web resource for learning about writing four-part harmony in the style of J.S. Bach. It has been written for A2 students at King Edward VI College in Stourbridge, and is suitable for A level and first year undergraduate study. The material is designed to be utilised by small groups of students undertaking supervised resource-based learning.

You will probably get the most out of these materials if you collaborate on worksheets in class and then complete different worksheets individually for homework. You must make sure that you check and comment upon each others work using the logbook provided. There is also space in the logbook for making notes during the course of the year. At Easter, each group will produce a chorale study guide, for which these notes will be very useful. Most of the sessions will be supervised group work and tutorials but you can check when presentations and mock exams are on the 2009/10 calendar.
